Knean was exposed to his calling at a young age when his mother read him poetry as a toddler. Over the course of his childhood he developed a passion and talent for emceeing and artistry that’s ready for the main stage. Like all great artists of his generation Knean blends melodic R&B elements with the technical saavy of your favorite emcees. Be on the lookout for Knean’s debut project to arrive in the spring of 2015.
We got the great opportunity to interview Knean who speaks on his favorite artists, his debut project, his favorite movies, and more. Check out the full interview below!
One Throne: What or who inspired you to start a career in music?
Knean: my mom inspire me because when I was a kid she always used to read me her poems she wrote, The whole rhyming and storytelling and expressing your feelings in a unique way. I always Loved it
One Throne: If you were stranded on an island for the rest of your life and could only pick three albums to listen to, which three would you pick?
Knean: If I sat there & listen to three albums for the rest of my life stranded on an island I will be miserable so honestly I can’t even answer this question if I wanted to. I’ll be too busy trying to find a way back to the crib.
One Throne: Who are some of your favorite current artists?
Knean: Favorite is just a strong word lol, but I been to listening to Drake, Jcole, Big Sean, that’s my people.
One Throne: What can people expect from your upcoming debut project? Any certain point that you’re trying to get across to the fans?
Knean: I just want them to get a feel of Knean & I’m sure they will, which is going to be great.
One Throne: When you’re not working on music, what are some of your hobbies?
Knean: Torturing somebody son on the basketball court- giving them buckets, but I just like to stay in shape an anyway possible, to get some good energy and a good workout in. I don’t like staying still, I rather be outdoors doing something.
One Throne: What are some of your favorite movies of all time?
Knean: I don’t have any favorite movies, I don’t really have any favorites of any favorites if that made any sense. But movies are too predictable but my kinda Genre Would be something Scary like “Silent Hill” or “Insidious”, ” Hostel” is a good one too.
One Throne: Time for One Throne’s random interview question…since you represent Indianapolis , where is your favorite spot to eat in the 317?
Knean: I love to eat, let me see…Applebee’s Applebee’s Applebee’s, Wingstop some more Wingstop, Friday’s, Me n my buddies always go to Steak n Shake or Subway, also Texas Roadhouse they got like the best green beans.
