In a day and age were Hip Hop seems to be expanding in all genre directions, and done by pretty much every kid with a computer, it can be difficult to find talent that’s not already in the mainstream. One my friends hit me up to see if his group, Globo Probo, could do an interview with us. Globo is an underground hip hop group that seems to take odd beats, even odder lyrics, and somehow puts it all together to make an almost punk/hip hop sound. They remind me of Odd Future, yet have their own unique style of sound, and very creative marketing techniques. They’ve got work to do, but watch out for these kids. They’re quickly on the rise. Here is their feature song. Hit the jump for the interview.

So explain your name “The X.B.”“Well my initials spell out “C.X.B.” which was my name for a while, but i decided instead of the “C” I would add “The” so it’d roll off the tongue better. How do you keep your sounds so unique and different?“I grew up listening to every fu**ing genre there is, but mainly hip hop and hardcore music. So I decided I would try to blend the punk feel of hardcore music, to the cool feel of modern day hip hop.”Why are your lyrics so racy?“Its just a matter of not giving a single fu**”Germ-X doesn’t even live in the same state, is that right?“Yea Germ-X lives out in Cali, but we grew up kicking it. One day I hit him up and said lets start a group, and things have been falling into place ever since.”Who created the name “Globo Probo”?“Mastah Locke did. He’s working on his mixtape right now, but we should have some of his stuff up on the site within the month. He is goddamn ridiculous. Be ready for his shi**.”Do you rip off beats?“On occasion, but we actually have a dope as fu** beat maker CGBeats who makes the most ridiculous sh**. And he doesn’t sample his shi** either, he makes everything from scratch, which is rare as fu** these days.”What if Globo Probo makes it big?“Then I can pay my families bills, move out to Cali with Germ-X, and tour the rest of my life. It’ll be fu**ing dope as fu**!”
